 A traditional fashion also doesn’t mean that you have to forsake modern appliances! Quite the contrary – a good traditional kitchen will allow you to blend together modern technology with an old-timey look, resulting in a seamless blend of efficiency and aesthetics. Comforting, warm and innovative at the same time, few things can match the feel of the wooden cabinets and treated timber of a traditional kitchen!

Kitchen with a Corner Cabinet

A diagonal kitchen corner cabinet connects adjacent walls and fills an empty corner but in a more linear manner which in some ways is better-suited for modern or contemporary kitchens. Corners are problematic, especially in kitchens where functionality and space-efficiency are crucial.  Here’s a cantilevered kitchen island, with a super sleek countertop. It’s a large piece but it doesn’t overpower the kitchen. The open layout helps in that sense but the island itself is also very well-balanced in that regard.

The walls are white which sets a clean and bright background and in contrast the cabinetry features this dark blue hue which seems to create a smooth transition towards the dark floor tiles.
