Outdoor Kitchen Ideas

 What exactly is an outdoor kitchen? Well, there’s no real mystery here! An outdoor kitchen is–as you might suspect–just a dedicated place to cook or prepare a meal outside, rather than doing so cooped up inside the house.  Cooking and dining , outdoor dining, moves your kitchen functionality to the deck, patio, rooftop or balcony.

An outdoor kitchen is kitted out like a mini-kitchen and typically includes:

• Heating elements (stove, cooktop, grill, BBQ, pizza oven)
• Fridges (or refrigerated drawers)
• Sinks with hot and cold taps, and
• Weatherproof counters and benchtops.

Modern Bathroom

 The modern bathroom uses natural materials. Wood and stone are typical of this type of bathroom, especially nowadays with effective sealants that protect more fragile materials against humidity.

It's not unusual to see a modern bathroom with marble, stone or wood countertops. Darker, luxury woods like teak are a popular choice as well. If budget allows, even the tub might be made of polished stone instead of the usual ceramic or porcelain.

The modern bathroom uses materials in their most natural state--not painted or stained. Let's have a look at what kinds of colors we find in this bathroom.

Modern Kitchen

 Remember all those times when you were told to think outside of the box in order to find a solution to your design ideas in your home? Now is another one of those moments. The image of a square kitchen island is so popular that many of us automatically gravitate towards this textbook idea. Yet there are many types of styles. An L-shaped or T-shaped addition, a lovely circular installation or a cool elliptical island inspired by the surfboard–the possibilities are simply endless. Let your kitchen dictate the shape and size of the island and do not fall prey to the stereotypical conventions.

Walk-In Closet

 Here's a bright, organized, and elegant sums up this walk-in closet. A large storage island anchors the space. Open storage solutions cover all four walls. Brush brass hardware punctuates the white cabinetry. With enough room to sit without cluttering visual space.

Bathroom Cottage

 The primary bathroom has a freestanding porcelain bathtub at the far end under the window and topped with a simple chandelier. Beside this is the large wooden vanity paired with a wide wall-mounted mirror.

Kitchen Counter Wood

 Any expert in the field will tell you that reclaimed wood gives you an opportunity to work with wood that is simply no longer available in stores. There are times when these wooden boards would have been acquired for barns and old structures built several decades ago, and that is wood that you just cannot buy off the shelf today. It has a much deeper and richer grain, and of course, the natural process of aging gives these planks an even more fabulous finish. If giving the kitchen island a makeover is not on your agenda, then maybe you can give the ceiling or the walls a new look by covering them with reclaimed timber.

Recreational Vehicle

 The RV vehicle has custom-blended exterior paint, a stacked washer and dryer, kitchen garbage disposal, granite countertops and several 3D-ready televisions. Its glass dash instrumentation system controls a driving camera, in-dash navigator and radar detector.

Built-In Entertainment Unit

 

A built-in entertainment centre

Since the wall unit was being installed in the master bedroom, a built-in entertainment centre with room for a television and additional media accessories was required.

As you can see, the built-in TV above the fireplace is mounted relatively high. That location makes it ideal for watching the TV while in bed. The wall unit’s design allows wires and cables to be discreetly kept hidden.

Above the television are a couple of open spaces where a soundbar, streaming device, cable receiver, or PVR can go. Taller open shelving display spaces could also be used for placing books or personal effects like photos or knick-knacks.

The layout can be configured for your needs. The open sections up top could instead be included at the bottom of the unit in place of the two banks of drawers (one of which is actually a well-disguised laundry hamper, as we’ll explain shortly). This would make adding something like a Blu-ray player more practical.

Bathroom Traditional

 Here's a Bathroom with a larger Walk-In Shower that's lined with porcelain tiles that look like marble. Nice curved Bathtub with small slate tiles. A floating vanity gives the illusion of more floor space.

Basement Traditional

 Although the basement isn’t the most visible room in the house, it nonetheless provides crucial storage space for odds and ends, and sometimes even extra room for activities.

It is absolutely worthwhile to devote time to finishing your basement with touches that give it a comfortable, homey feel. Not only will it create a sense of completion to have an entirely finished house, but it will also create a space that you will want to spend time in rather than dash in and out of.

Walk-In Closet

 Not everyone has enough space or an additional room in the house for a dedicated walk-in closet. But those who do often tend to opt for a look that is modern, understated and filled with neutral hues. Admittedly, that works more times than not but there are occasions when we are left searching for something brilliant; a style that moves away from the mundane and gives the closet an identity of its own. That is where modern styles comes to your rescue with the way in which it can bring together many different elements without ever seeming out of place.

Motor Home Kitchen

Solid-surface counter space is abundant with the residential kitchen hutch, and there’s removable shelving in the floor-to-ceiling pantry, with motion-sensor lighting and a frosted-glass insert in the door. A dual waste-bin drawer lives in the center island. Stainless-steel appliances include a 30-inch overhead microwave, two-way 12-cubic-foot refrigerator and a Furrion 21-inch oven and range with flush-mounted glass top.

Kitchen with a Window

 Yes, a large window that allows you to lazily catch up on a midday nap does sound great, but not all of us have enough space in the kitchen to spare for such an extravagant addition! For those short on both space and resources, a small window with built-in cabinets underneath is the perfect option. Not only does it give you a comfortable resting spot in the kitchen, but also helps you with tucking away additional kitchenware that you normally do not use. It can also be used as a cool homework zone or even a small breakfast nook with the addition of a small table.

Luxury Bathroom

 Don’t forget that plants can become an important part of your bathroom’s decor, rather than mere accent pieces. I’m seriously considering making plants a substantial part of my powder room design strategy! When I look at beautifully orchestrated spaces like the one below, I see just how a careful selection of interesting plants can be an integral part of a room’s charm and appeal.
